The Golden Hour

Tonight was such a gorgeous night that we decided to grill corn and steaks for dinner. I went out to keep Alex company and the light was so gorgeous that I ran back inside for my camera. The irises have started to bloom, the bees are out pollinating and other plants are getting ready to bloom. My allergies are also starting to kick into high gear, but I'll take a runny nose and itchy eyes over a blizzard any day.

I'm trying something new. Lately I've just been posting my pics on facebook and never getting around to blogging them. So my new plan of action is to only blog my pics for the next month, instead of uploading to facebook. We'll see how it goes. Anyway, here are a few from tonight.

Flowers :)

Now that spring has finally arrived and the flowers are blooming and the temperatures have warmed up, I've been trying to get out with my camera and take pictures. Here are some of my current flower shots :)

Happy Easter!

Sending Happy Easter wishes to all my blog readers. The weather here lately has been gorgeous so we've even got some early blooms. That's inspired me to get back outside shooting. Up first is our happy easter card 2010, of the robin's nests we made for place settings. Followed by some of the gorgeous spring flowers.

Epiphanie

Epiphanie is giving away either a free camera or a gift cert to Southwest airlines. Plus they have gorgeous looking camera backs. I know I'd love a new camera, and I'm always on the lookout for a new camera bag. Check out their blog for more info: http://www.haveanepiphanie.com/home/2010/2/28/epiphanie-give-away.html

And because every post is better with a picture, here's a few from a recent trip up to Willoughby Gap.

Cheering on Team Canada

Being a Canadian, the Olympics in Vancouver were huge. There was so much national pride, our athletes owned the podium, and we showed the world what it meant to be Canadian. I convinced Alex that I needed to order the torchbearer mittens and even convinced him to get a pair. Well, being the proud American that he is, he didn't actually wear them until the last day. Yes, he wore Team Canada mittens for me during the all important gold medal hockey game. It made my day. He still cheered for the Americans, but held that link to Canada too :)
